NeighborImpact now offering Summer Energy Assistance for Qualified Residents in Central Oregon
7/28/2016 10:10 AMNeighborImpact's Energy Assistance program is pleased to announce a new summer program specifically for electric bills. Even if households have already received assistance for their winter heating bills, they may be eligible for another payment through the summer program.
Area residents are encouraged to call 541‐504‐2155 to set up an appointment in one of our 5 locations in Bend, Redmond, La Pine, Madras, and Prineville or to have an application sent to them. We have extended our appointment calendar to include evening appointments on Tuesdays in Bend and we also have early morning appointments available.
"We are working to improve our outreach and availability to all communities in central Oregon," says Joyce Cranston, Energy Assistance Manager for NeighborImpact. "We provide a necessary service for qualified households and want to be accessible when people need us. Our expanded summer cooling program will make it easier for people to get ahead of their u椀⬄lity costs before winter bills escalate."
Furthermore, there is still funding available for supplemental payments for natural gas, propane or oil utility bills. Income qualification is necessary for all supplemental payments. Income guidelines are on the NeighborImpact website: www.neighborimpact.org/services/heat/home‐energy‐assistance
