This program is a matched savings program that is used to assist low-income households to save to buy a home or start or expand a business. Through Oregon’s Individual Development Account initiative, low-income Oregonian’s gain financial skills, break the cycle of poverty, build wealth and invest in their communities. Each dollar our participant saves is matched by funds from the state’s IDA pool and reserved in a separate account for a specified asset. When all program requirements are fulfilled, the participants funds are matched with reserved funds. Clients enroll in the program for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 3 years.
