Heat, Energy & Food: Basic Needs

At NeighborImpact, we know that a warm, safe place to sleep and food to eat are basic needs and critical first steps on the path to stability and long-term success. If you need assistance with heat for your home, temporary housing or food, we may be able to connect you with Central Oregon services to help you get started. If you are experiencing financial hardship, we have four basic needs assistance programs to serve Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties:

Heat & Energy Assistance

We have services and advice to help you stay warm during the winter, keep the lights on, and save money on your utility bills.
  • Energy Assistance
    If you are struggling to pay your energy bills, we may be able to connect you with energy assistance through a pledge to your utility company.
  • Weatherization Grants
    You may be eligible for a weatherization grant to make your home more energy efficient.
  • Home Energy Conservation Workshop
    Our free home energy conservation workshop can help you save up to XXXXX per month by making a few simple changes in your house or apartment.

Food Assistance

As the regional food bank for Central Oregon, NeighborImpact distributes food to more than 40 local distribution sites in communities throughout Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties.

Housing

If you have children in your care and you are homeless or facing eviction, you may be eligible for temporary emergency and transitional housing or assistance with rent payments.
