Do you love helping people get the most out of the software platforms they have to use? If so, we want you to apply for our HMIS Specialist position! HMIS, you ask?!? That stands for Homeless Management Information Systems; not your cup of tea, not so fast… A great candidate would be a people person with a touch of data geek mixed in; a little salesmanship and some mad training skills would not hurt either. Our ultimate hire would be an end user support staff to introduce providers to HMIS and offer training and guidance to produce the best homeless data and reports this side of the Cascades. If this piques your interest, please review the complete job description and send us your application packet! Primary responsibility of this position is administration of the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) across the Central Oregon Continuum of Care, OR-503. The use of this system is required by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS). Duties include maintaining and reporting data related to homelessness and community services in Central Oregon. This position closely monitors data input by end users to ensure a high degree of accuracy. The Specialist responds to requests from HMIS users to provide information, data and user support, and coordinates data input for completion of quarterly and annual reporting needs. This position monitors license usage and provides initial and ongoing training to HMIS users, and makes recommendations for improving system utilization and ensures compliance with all reporting requirements.
