Through Oregon’s Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), NeighborImpact continues to support Central Oregon child care businesses with the tools to impact local families.

If you are a local childcare provider, or early childhood professional, Oregon’s QRIS program will help improve the quality of program.

About the QRIS

The QRIS is an innovative program that connects caregivers and educators with tools, financial incentives and professional advice to ensure the children in their program are better prepared for school.  It also gives parents expert, unbiased information to make more informed decisions about their child care options. Learn more about the QRIS.

The QRIS is designed to:

  • Ensure children are better prepared for a great start to kindergarten and beyond.
  • Create common standards of excellence.
  • Professionalize the child care field.
  • Put tools, financial incentives, and expert advice in the hands of child care providers and early learning educators.
  • Give providers a marketing tool to grow their business or reassure parents that their child is in expert hands.

How to Participate:

  1. Learn how to access free tools, advice and financial incentives by attending a free information session in your community.
  2. Complete and submit an application and self-assessment.
  3. Receive feedback from our team of early learning experts about what you’re doing well and how you can improve.
  4. Get your rating designation and use it as a marketing tool to grow your business or reassure parents their child is in capable and knowledgeable hands.
