NeighborWorks America–This partnership with our HomeSource program addresses access to affordable housing. Trained and supported by NeighborWorks America, HomeSource counselors provide financial capability assessments and coaching for low- and middle-income residents wanting to buy homes. From October 2014-September of 2015, 168 clients received counseling, 47 clients bought homes, and 82 retained their homes. From October-June of 2016, HomeSource counselled 168 clients; 38 bought homes, and 62 kept their homes.
Oregon Food Bank (OFB)–Our collaboration addresses a mutual goal of ending hunger. We are part of OFB’s statewide network that distributes food to the hungry. A chain of contracts from us to OFB to Feeding America to National Fresh Alliance establishes relationships with grocery stores and regulates compliance agreements with food banks and Partner Agencies. We anticipate outcomes from OFB in the form of donated food (1,350,000 pounds) and funding ($67,500 from Oregon Hunger Response Funds, including $47,250 for Food Recovery; $30,000 from USDA’s TEFAP for our Food Bank).
