Other Important Information
- The Energy Assistance Program is not an emergency program. It is intended to supplement heating costs, not provide year-round coverage.
- Application cycles: NeighborImpact opens application cycles throughout the year. Some cycles may be open for only one day so applications can be processed promptly and households can be contacted when information is missing or needs clarification.
- Service is first come, first served. Disconnections and final notices are not prioritized for processing.
What should I do if I have a shutoff notice or my utility is disconnected?
- Talk to your utility company and let them know you submitted an application.
- Ask whether a manageable payment plan is available while you wait.
- Continue working with your utility company and paying your bill when possible while your application is processed.
