About Thistle & Nest: Thistle & Nest uses a land trust model to address the challenge of affordable housing in a manner that is permanent in nature. The nonprofit’s mission is to provide services, support, purchase opportunities, and stewardship for buyers of affordable owner-occupied housing. Thistle & Nest was formed in March of 2023 as part of the triad develop-build-nonprofit partnership that will have 30 homes available for purchase in 2024.
About First Story: Now celebrating its 25th year, First Story addresses the affordable housing crisis in the Pacific Northwest with an integrated approach that gives individuals a hand up to homeownership while encouraging inclusivity. First Story collaborates with its founding partner, homebuilder Hayden Homes, to construct move-in ready homes in existing communities. The homes are then sold to individuals and families earning 80 percent of area median income or below through First Story’s innovative loan program, which provides loans at zero-down, zero-percent interest for 30 years.

About NeighborImpact HomeSource: HomeSource provides skill-building tools and resources that help people understand, grow and protect their financial life, from opening their first savings account to homeownership. Home Buyer programs focus on the process of and resources for successful home purchase. Homeowner services include home preservation, foreclosure prevention, reverse mortgage and mortgage assistance. HomeSource offers group education (virtual, in-person or self-paced), one-on-one counseling, match savings programs and more.
