Water to Warm Springs
NeighborImpact and the Oregon Food Bank donated 13 pallets of bottled water to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs after an electrical fire damaged a pump at their water treatment facility, resulting in a boil water notice.
NeighborImpact’s Warm Springs community liaison and tribes member, Dorthea Thurby, coordinates disaster response.
“I am very grateful to NI for their donation of water to the Warm Springs community,” Thurby said. “It touches my heart to know that my place of employment cares about the health and welfare of the members in our community since we have these water problems.”
