NeighborImpact invites you to Throw Down

Central Oregon—Looking for something fun to do this Saturday? Come make a ceramic bowl for a good cause!

Prineville Potters unite! Clay DragonRuddy Waters PotteryCrow Ceramics and Starrflower Studios will be at the The Art Corral Saturday, August 27th 10am-4pm. The Throw Down event begins at noon.

Come try your hands at throwing a bowl on the pottery wheel and shop for pottery at the different studios’ booths. All bowls made will be donated to NeighborImpact for First Interstate Bank’s Empty Bowls event, presented by Windermere Central Oregon Real Estate and Cascade Natural Gas.

Empty Bowls is an internationally recognized event that raises awareness of hunger and hunger-related issues. Guests keep their handcrafted bowls as a reminder of the thousands of bowls that remain empty each day in Central Oregon and around the world. Locally, funds raised from this event support NeighborImpact and its Emergency Food Assistance program. This program distributes nearly four million pounds of food throughout our region each year and, together with our 51 food partners in Central Oregon, we feed approximately 28,000 citizens each month.
