Affordable Housing Event in Spanish Celebrates NeighborWorks® Week
Central Oregon— As part of the national celebration of NeighborWorks® Week (June 7–14), NeighborImpact will host a Spanish-language Affordable Homeownership Fair for the Central Oregon Latino community on Monday, June 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Latino Community Association in Bend.
This special event, held entirely in Spanish, aims to connect Spanish-speaking community members with trusted affordable housing developers and local homeownership resources. The event is made possible thanks to the generous title sponsorship of Hayden Homes, along with support from Cascade Hasson Sotheby’s International Realty and Sotheby’s International Realty.
NeighborWorks Week is a nationwide effort organized by NeighborWorks America, a key funder of NeighborImpact’s HomeSource program. During this week, NeighborWorks network organizations across the country host events that celebrate community partnerships and promote safe, affordable housing.
This year’s Bend-based event is presented in collaboration with NeighborImpact HomeSource, Habitat for Humanity Bend-Redmond, Habitat for Humanity Sisters, Habitat for Humanity La Pine Sunriver, Thistle and Nest, Rooted Homes, and First Story.
Attendees will receive valuable, language-accessible information about the affordable homebuying process, including eligibility criteria, upcoming application opportunities, and next steps. Short presentations from housing developers will be followed by opportunities to ask questions and connect one-on-one. Lending and fair housing specialists will also be available to share additional guidance.
