On Wednesday, June 12, the Deschutes County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved funding for a new pilot program that encourages builders to construct and sell new homes at prices attainable to median-income earners. Central Oregon—NeighborImpact has been actively working to alleviate the child care crisis in Central Oregon by bolstering the growth of child care services. The expansion of child care involves providing funding and educational resources to child care providers and persons aspiring to become providers in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties and the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.
